Connected Nation Research Notes that Broadband Is Essential for Education

Washington, D.C.: Today, Connected Nation released a report that demonstrates the important role broadband plays in education. Based on data compiled through its Kentucky program, ConnectKentucky, the report states that 100 percent of full-time adult students in Kentucky with a broadband connection at home use the Internet as an educational resource – ranging from online classes, research and regular class communication. Use of the Internet for educational applications is higher among broadband-connected adult students as compared to adult students with dial-up access to the Internet.
